superdemic, then we need to know who that character is! This is the post where you need to provide some basic information about yourself and your character. Kind of like an app without being an app, since...well, you don't have to apply to play in this musebox.
Be aware that you are perfectly welcome to add locations, organizations, details, etc., to this world as long as it does not contradict information that already exists for it. But if you add anything, you also need to make sure to include the details for those additions so that other players know what they are and how or if they can be of use to them as well.

Character Name: Alvaro "Varo" Sala

Personality:
Varo is a good kid and he means well. That’s the first impression you will probably get from him- he has just a sweet demeanor to him. The way he carries around and he speaks, the way he looks at you straight to your eyes when he’s talking to you… everything in him speaks of “I trust you and I hope you trust me back”, and you can’t help but do just so.
But the truth is that he will not trust you or even like you, at all. He’s growing up seeing how the teacher he trusted was filled with greed so yellow it blinded him. How the nice woman at the bakery who offered him a candy every time he brought some bread had the soft blue light of sloth surrounding her. How the couple that eat each other with kisses under his window where they thought no one could see them kept getting a darker and darker blue as time goes by.
It’s hard to trust humanity when you can see the worst in them. So he doesn’t, and he doesn’t really care about what they think of him either. Why should he? They are all a bunch of sinners.
It’s not really that he’s incredibly religious, even though his Aunt tries to raise him that way. He’s loosely catholic, at best and he doesn’t really have any issues with people that follow other religions, if any. But he’s had the wrong side of people drilled into his head literally since he was born so it’s not a surprise that he would react that way to people.
He has a lot of fun playing with people, even though it doesn’t necessarily have to be with his powers. He’s smart and good with words so he loves teasing people. He has a hard time making friends because he likes discretely laughing at them a little bit too much, but he doesn’t really see then need for friends.
He’s one of the good guys, or so he likes to think. He’s aware that his powers could easily make him a very powerful villain but he refuses to let them dictate what he does with his life. He’s determined to try to use his powers for good, to focus on the weak spots the bad guys might have and use it against them. That’s why he choose his own codename “Carnal” and went to the first organization he found that would let him do just that.
Character History:
Alvaro’s birth wasn’t expected, but it certainly wasn’t unwanted. His parent (hard-working first generation immigrants with admittedly little education beyond high school) had long given up on having kids the natural way, and since his mother Soraya didn’t really want a kid that wasn’t hers adoption wasn’t really a viable option. And then out of the blue, she was pregnant.
They loved their kid; there was no doubt of that. They tried to give him everything they could, and made sure he knew everything he could about his roots and their culture. He was a smart kid, and never got into trouble (even though trouble seemed to follow him everywhere he went). His parents though…
Well, something changed. His mother had always been worried about her appearance, but it went to extremes a couple of years after Alvaro was born. Clothes needed to be more and more fashionable and expensive, make up didn’t just seem to cover it anymore.
His father had always had a high libido, but he had never even dreamed of cheating on his wife. A couple of days after Alvaro’s 7th birthday, he paid a woman for sex for the first time. His woman just wasn’t enough.
She died in a plastic surgery operation gone wrong.
He died a year later from a STD, a kind of hepatitis.
Alvaro has never felt guilty about their deaths. It wasn’t him that put her on the operation table or didn’t care to use a condom.
Luckily for him his father’s sister Clara, an elderly woman who had a little fortune thanks to her then deceased husband agreed to take care of him. She was a very religious woman and she happened to have metahuman-detection powers she wasn’t aware of. That meant she soon realized Alvaro was special even if she never truly grasped how much, and she tried to do her best to show him a way to control his powers, to not cause mayhem wherever he went.
He’s spent a couple of years living with her now, and he’s gotten much better at controlling his powers. He also read everything he could about the supers- what they could do, what the government was using them for, how they took care of each other… he never told his aunt Clara his thoughts on his powers because he knew a religious woman like her would never understand that the powers he had were a gift, not a curse. He did learn some from her morals though and even if he has a lot of fun playing around with his powers he has decided he wants to try to do good with them, to help people.
Which is why one day he just went up to DELTA’s doorstep and told them he wanted to join them.
Character Affiliations: The D.E.L.T.A people don't really know what to do with him. He just went up to them one day and practically forced them to take him in, knowing fully well he could change things with his powers. So they agreed to train him with other teenagers, but they still don't let him in missions.
Additional Information: His powers come from Vice Inducement. He has the ability to see which of the 7 capital sins a person leans towards and when they are around him, said people would suddenly feel a... nudge, a sudden urge to indulge even more in those sins. A person with anger would suddenly feel that emotion overcoming them, one with lust will not be able to focus on anything other than that pleasure.
I will write up about it more soon and add it in here, but for now those are the basics.

Character Information
Character Name: Hui Nemes

Appearance/Played By: Lee Chung-Ah
Hui is short and slim (about 5’2” and 115 pounds), with dark hair she tends to keep tied up and out of her face. She is not exceptionally pale, but not tan either, and wears little to no makeup. (She typically only puts on makeup for special occasions, but those are rare.)
Personality: One of Hui’s most noticeable features is her kindness. She is unfailingly kind, and has a tendency to put others in front of herself. She does whatever she can for others, and is typically cheerful. Hui is the sort of person who smiles all the time, regardless of if she’s happy or sad. She wants to help others, and feels she can’t help them if she seems unhappy. She is doting and mothering, but can sometimes be unintentionally overbearing and nagging. Her family and friends are very important to her, and she wants to do anything she can to make sure they are happy and comfortable.
Of course, not everything about her is rainbows and sunshine. Hui is stubborn, and has a tendency to make things bigger issues than they are. She pushes and pushes for answers, no matter how resistant other people are. While she never gives up on things that are important, she also never gives up on things that should very well be dropped. She’s ruined a lot of friendships by being too stubborn and by always trying to help, and she’s trying to be less overbearing but she can’t even realize how she’s driving people away. She feels like there’s no reason for her to not try to help, and can’t see how she’s aggravating people with her constant worry and offers for help and condolences.
Hui is a huge optimist, and does not get along with negative people. Negativity, quite frankly, angers here. She’s a glass half full, always a silver lining sort of person, and she wants other people to see that there is a reason that things are the way they are. She is very supportive of any super she meets, and feels that any power is a good gift. She does get irritated when people shirk away from their powers, and feels that accepting your power is one of the most important things you can do.
For all of her cheer and optimism, Hui is harder on herself than anyone else. She has a duty, and she hates the fact that she’s not eager to do it. She feels guilty that she has power over healing, but that she really doesn’t want to be a doctor. She’s forcing her way through medical school by telling herself that this is what she has to do, and there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. She holds herself to a ridiculously high standard, which is a bit stupid of her. She’s very intelligent when it comes to book smarts, but can be very oblivious and easily confused over interpersonal matters, and is not good at all at reading other people or their intentions.
Character History: Hui Nemes was born to a single mother, Shuli Wang. Shuli had been married, but her husband died while she was pregnant. Shuli was left to raise Hui on her own, while mourning the loss of her world’s center. She did well, but as Hui got older and began to remind Shuli of her husbad in so many ways, the pain got harder and harder to ignore.
When Hui turned eleven, her mother committed suicide. Hui was lost and on her own, and that was when her powers came to the surface. She was so distraught, so terribly devastated and out of control, that she killed the family cat. When an autopsy was performed on the animal, it was found the cat died from complications due to feline leukemia. Just a month prior the cat had been perfectly healthy. But it was easy to ignore that, and so Hui and her new adoptive family, the Nemes family, ignored it.
Things kept happening, though. Her brother fell ill, and then her father, and her mother. Each of them had a long list of illnesses, and none of the doctors could explain why. Slowly, Hui came to the realization that it was her fault. She had done this to them, and they didn’t deserve that. She had to fix things, and…she did. She was able to heal them, and now she had to go heal others.
So Hui decided to follow her duty, and went to New York City to work with DELTA, as well as to receive education. She went to college with the intent of going to medical school, and applied herself to her studies. She graduated with high marks, and she now attends medical school while working at an internship. She works herself to the bone, but she believes it must be done. She has to do something good for the world, and she might as well use these powers she was granted. Her dream is not to be a doctor, and she would rather not work with the ill. She wants to own a bakery of her own, and spends the time she is not studying or working perfecting recipes. Maybe, maybe someday soon, she will be able to do what she really desires.
Character Affiliations: Neutral, Hui wants to help anyone she can regardless of their association.
Additional Information: Her powers include healing and the ability to inflict illnesses. She can heal illnesses and wounds by altering the genetic material of others, but her ability to heal wounds is not as advanced as her ability to cure diseases. She can also give others diseases, but they are all diseases she can cure. Some illnesses, such as cancer and AIDS, she cannot cure, but she has realized the more she heals one person the more impact it has on them, and can help soothe the systems and, possibly, cure them over time.
